The front of the “Silver Chicken”, our 10 year anniversary commemorative coin, is very loosely based on the American Silver Eagle One Dollar Silver Coin when it comes to the layout. But it’s more awesome since it features one of the coolest WW2 fighter planes ever built. Also it’s funnier because it has Chuck on the face of the coin instead of Lady Liberty (no offense Lady Liberty, we love you!).
Also, even though the numbers of the 2011 Eagles aren’t final yet, the mintage of the 2010 Silver Eagle was 34,764,500 ounces.
The mintage of the “Silver Chicken” is 60 ounces. So naturally, it will be worth way more in the future. Or if not, it’s still pure silver and we all know the price of silver is bound to go up.
